FIM FORUM 1999-2001

Each year, with few exceptions, FIM convenes its signature event, the FIM Forum.

FIM Forum 1999, held in Montreal on September 9 and 10, focused on a series of cases studies of civil society’s interactions with six multilateral entities.

FIM Forum 2000, held in Montreal from 1-3 October 2000, examined five case studies on Human Security and where civil society organizations have influenced the multilateral system.

FIM Forum 2001, held October 2-4, in Brisbane, Australia focused on: Civil Society – The UN+5s and beyond – The participation of civil society actors in the review and implementation of major UN summit agreements: Lessons and opportunities.
